JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE recently celebrated the opening of Alexan LoHi, a project that includes 106 residences in the heart of Denver’s LoHi. Positioned at the site of the former Dickinson Plaza, the complex boasts extensive views of downtown from the upper levels with terraces that provide a true indoor/outdoor living experience. With modular brick that transitions in shading from the corner to the ends in each direction, the architectural seamlessly speaks to the context of the neighborhood.
At the street level, the project enhances the fabric of the neighborhood with a series of smaller retail establishments and restaurant opportunities, along with the residential lobby. A large art mural at the entry nods to the original murals that once decorated the walls of Dickenson Plaza.
A courtyard serves as the social heart of the project, offering a lively, light-filled outdoor living space for the residences. Fire pits, shade trellises, outdoor games and lounge spaces connect the space to an indoor clubroom on the second level. This dynamic space is designed to draw residents out of their homes and create a vibrant sense of community.
Reflecting the modern fabric of its LoHi home, the architecture and interior design of the Alexan LoHi are well-integrated to create a cohesive building, inside and out, that fully embraces Denver living.
