Revitalizing Small Towns through Hospitality Design: Greeley
At JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE, we feel a strong sense of civic responsibility to address the long-term impact each of our projects has on the environment and community. While we work meticulously to create spaces that are beautiful and functional for their intended use, it is also essential that these projects enhance their greater context and add to the economic vitality of the area.
Continuing our series on the revitalization of tertiary markets through hospitality design, we turn our attention to Greeley, Colorado, which is undergoing a distinct transformation to help spur economic growth for the community. JOHNSON NATHAN STROHEdesigned DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley serves as a compelling example of how the hospitality industry can be a central component in an effective revitalization strategy.
Part of what makes JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE successful is the people we get to work with every day. Together, we share in our challenges, solutions and accomplishments as we work to deliver extraordinary projects for our clients.
This month, we are celebrating the promotion of four smart, talented and visionary leaders within our firm. Join us in congratulating new Associate Principals Heather Vasquez Johnson and Sarah Linback, as well as Associates Anne Warner and Blaire Weiser.
Building on 100 Years of History: Hilton Garden Inn Union Station
“How do we preserve this piece of history so that it can stand for another 100 years?”
This was the monumental question JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE asked when planning the restoration of the historic Denver Hose House No. 1. Constructed in 1881, the building had been standing for almost as long as Denver itself. After years of water and fire damage, it was – not surprisingly – in very poor condition when the JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE team began the project. A structural engineer was even afraid to go inside the fragile building. The resulting space is both timeless and contemporary.
Meet JNS: Sammy Kelley
Summer is in full swing at JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE, and we are as busy as ever. We are thrilled to announce Sammy Kelley has joined our team as an interior designer. Sammy joined us at the beginning of the summer as an intern, and we were so impressed with her design acumen that we decided we couldn’t let her go. Here’s your chance to get to know her.
