Jim Johnson Reflects on 40-Year Architecture Career

Our very own Jim Johnson, the founding partner of JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE, was recently profiled in the Denver Business Journal. In an open conversation, Jim shares how a love for hotels and architecture paved his career path, the ups and downs he faced in a fluctuating economy, and an exciting peek into future projects.

Offering a candid viewpoint on the current state of Denver architecture, Jim also reviews the overall quality of recently delivered multifamily projects, calling for a shift away from less-than-optimal design. Celebrating the Opening of Pierside South at Oceanside!

Last month, JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE celebrated the completion of the Pierside South project in Oceanside, California in partnership with GF Properties and Ryan Companies.

Team members, Tobias Strohe, Kelsey McCarrel and Anne Warner (from left to right in the photo) celebrated the opening of the stunning residential community. With panoramic views of the ocean, the seven-story, 110-unit oasis will give residents modern amenities of an upscale hotel, such as a co-working space for tenants and nontenants, a large fitness center and pool deck with two clubhouses on levels three and seven. Offering one- and two-bedroom units, Pierside South features a variety of apartment layouts with large windows and spacious decks. Read more…

Meet JNS: Kay Hiroyo Galligan, Ryan Richards & Amanda Elbergdar

This fall, we’ve experienced some exciting changes at JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE with the addition of two designers and a team member celebrating an important career milestone.

After years of hard work and dedication, Kay Hiroyo Galligan received her architecture license. We also welcomed Ryan Richards, who joined our team as an interior designer, as well as Intern Architect Amanda Elbergdar, who received her Master of Architecture and Planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
