JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE recently joined Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock, project partners and community members to celebrate the groundbreaking of Sheridan Station Apartments located at 13th and Sheridan Boulevard in Denver. This eight-story affordable housing project will include 133 units with immediate access to RTD’s W Line at 10th and Sheridan.
“We’re exactly where we need to be when it comes to affordable housing,” said Mayor Hancock during the groundbreaking ceremony. “When we can blend access to transit and affordable housing, now we’re making waves to improve the quality of life for the residents of Denver.”
In partnership with Mile High Development and Brinshore Development, we designed this transit-oriented development (TOD) to have a pedestrian friendly connection to the light rail station and easy access to nature through the multi-use path along the Lakewood/Dry Gulch Park.
Amenities include an outdoor plaza, media room, fitness center, on-site leasing office and bike storage. A large community rooftop serves as a gathering space with sweeping views of the mountains and downtown Denver.
Sheridan Station Apartments is part of an Urban Land Conservancy community land trust, which protects the long-term affordability on the site for at least 99 years.
Residents will have access to 12 covered parking spaces onsite, as well as 100 additional spaces in an adjacent RTD parking lot, which helped save on construction costs.
