The Maven Hotel: An Insider Tour with Nicole Nathan

With each hotel project we take on, the design is heavily influenced and inspired by the context of the surrounding neighborhood and the history of the site. We want guests to have an authentic, local experience that is unique to the community they’re visiting.

The Maven Hotel expresses an industrial, downtown loft feel reflecting the neighborhood in which it sits – Denver’s Lower Downtown (LoDo) – an area rich with historic, industrial brick buildings, many of which have been lovingly restored for a modern tenant. The stylish, simple design celebrates craftsmanship and the spirt of the maker – themes that resonate strongly with Denver’s history and its people. Read more…

2017 Pret-A-Porter: Sneak Peek of JNS’s Design

Spring has arrived, and in Denver’s interior design world that can only mean one thing: Pret-A-Porter season is here!

Every two years, the IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter hosts its signature Pret-A-Porter event, a fashion show in which all models, designers and materials come from Denver’s interior design industry. Designers are paired with manufacturers to create a haute couture garment that must be at least 80 percent composed of the vendor’s materials. The intent of the event is to showcase the manufacturer’s product by using it in a unique and creative way. Read more…
