Embassy Suites and Hilton Garden Inn Boulder: Designing a Dual-Branded Hotel
Boulder is getting not one, but two new hotels this fall. The Embassy Suites and Hilton Garden Inn feature 265,000 square feet of restaurants, bars, common areas and guest levels. This dual-branded project spans two city blocks along Canyon Boulevard and is within walking distance to Folsom Field and downtown Boulder.
While both hotels are under the Hilton brand, each has its own unique look and feel that required a strategic blending of design elements. JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE also worked closely with the City of Boulder and other stakeholders to meet the City’s desire for high-quality urban design and architecture. Moxy Denver Cherry Creek: Localizing an International Brand
The opening of the 170-key Moxy Denver Cherry Creek is right around the corner, and the final touches are coming together. Marking the international hotel brand’s entry into the Denver market, this is also one of the first ground-up developments for Moxy, Marriott’s ‘millennial-minded’ boutique hotel chain.
Creating a local experience within the parameters of an established hotel brand required thoughtful consideration of the needs of the client as well as a strong understanding of the surrounding community. The Maven Hotel Wins IIDA Best Award
Every year, the IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter’s BESTawards recognizes interior design projects that ‘go beyond a pretty picture and truly encompass Brilliantly Executed Spaces and Thinking.’ This year, our JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE team won the BESTaward for ‘Play’ for our work on The Maven Hotel at Dairy Block.
