The Maven: Celebrating The Maker

The Maven: Celebrating The Maker

The Maven, an eight-story, 172-room independent luxury hotel in the new Dairy Block in LoDo, embodies JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE’s belief that design is more powerful when it embraces its context.

The architecture for The Maven incorporates an industrial aesthetic – nodding to the building’s former life as Windsor Dairy – while the stylish, simple interior design celebrates craftsmanship and the spirit of the maker. Guestroom levels evoke a loft-like feel, infused with urban style and industrial spirit.

The Maven also features an expanded, experiential lobby designed to capture the resurgence of the hotel as a social gathering space for guests and the broader community alike. Designed as one continuous first-floor experience, the hotel’s 3,600-square-foot lobby flows into the 7,200-square-foot Kachina Southwestern Grill, Poka Lola Social Club and lobby of the adjacent building.

A 2,300-square-foot ballroom expands traditional boundaries by creating a connection between the hotel and the activated alley just outside the property, while also sharing event space with the Poka Lola Social Club.

The overall experience is intended to feel unique to Denver, to Dairy Block and to the LoDo neighborhood in which it resides.
