A Summer of Growth at JNS Architecture + Interior Design

This summer, JNS had the pleasure of hosting Maria Higgins, a senior architecture student at the University of Cincinnati, as an intern. Maria brought a fresh perspective and enthusiasm to our team, and we were thrilled to share our knowledge and experience with her.

During her time at JNS, Maria honed her technical skills, delving deeper into SketchUp and expanding her understanding of Revit. She also gained valuable insights into the collaborative nature of the design process through participation in studio and coordination meetings. By attending both architecture and interior design Lunch and Learns, Maria developed a well-rounded understanding of the industry.

While Maria’s passion lies in single-family residential architecture, her experience at JNS provided her with exposure to the dynamic world of hospitality design, and we’re confident this exposure will prove valuable as she continues her architectural journey.

Mentoring and shaping the journey of young architects is a fundamental part of JNS’ commitment to the future of our profession. Internships like Maria’s allow us to share our expertise and inspire future leaders in the field. We are proud to have had Maria as part of our team and wish her continued success in her academic pursuits and future career.
