HYATT CENTRIC – WE’RE ALMOST THERE!
The exterior façade of the Hyatt Centric is nearing completion, and we’re loving how the copper tones of the metal panels and wood accents fit seamlessly along downtown Denver’s historic Champa Street. As the last urban infill plot on a block of registered buildings, the Hyatt Centric has 14 stories and will add 263 rooms to Central Downtown.
Before getting started on this project, we performed extensive research of Denver’s Historic Civic and Entertainment Districts and conducted a detailed study of the individual buildings immediately adjacent to the site. The result is a design with two distinct facades that draws heavily from the massing, rhythm and architectural expressions that have dominated the neighborhood’s skyline over the past century. Just as the adjacent, historic buildings are witness to their respective times, the Hyatt Centric was designed to bear witness to its own era of modern craftsmanship, and we’re proud to see our vision coming to life.
We still have plenty of work to do, but the border fences were recently removed, opening up the new sidewalk for pedestrian traffic.
