LAUREL CHERRY CREEK
An Urban Haven

Located in Cherry Creek North, an upscale neighborhood in central Denver, the Laurel was conceived as a mix of luxury residences, retail and restaurant spaces with a contemporary, yet timeless, aesthetic. Over the course of 12 stories, 71 one-, two-, and three-bedroom condominiums—including two levels of penthouses—enjoy unimpeded views of the Rocky Mountains and Downtown Denver. At the street level, walkability to restaurants and shops renders the site one of the city’s most pedestrian-friendly locales.

Entering the building through a porte-cochère, residents are welcomed into a stately limestone-clad lobby furnished with a concierge desk and hospitality bar. On the roof, a pool deck and outdoor summer kitchen create a shared space for social gatherings. Inside each residence, expansive vistas and oversized balconies create a seamless experience of indoor / outdoor living.

Architecturally, a primary goal was to ensure the project fit seamlessly into the neighborhood. An innovative approach to the parking design utilizes the access ramp of an existing parking garage owned by the same client on an adjacent lot. To maximize the buildable footprint, the residential tower cantilevers out on three sides, allowing up to eight homes to exist on each level. The acoustic design was carefully considered, ensuring every component of the MEP system was acoustically isolated from the structure. The result is an extremely quiet, light-filled and resort-like living space in the heart of Denver’s bustling Cherry Creek neighborhood.
